This property in Hebron had five aging retaining walls that had run their course. Moss-covered, shifting, and worn down - the old block walls were doing more damage to the look of the yard than anything else. When a yard this size has that many walls holding back sloped terrain around a pool, you need a solution that's both structurally solid and visually sharp.

We pulled everything out and started fresh with Allan Blocks. The difference in material quality alone is significant. Allan Block is engineered for exactly this kind of multi-wall, sloped application - it holds up against soil pressure, handles drainage well, and has a clean, consistent face that actually looks good year after year. We used the same block color throughout the property to tie all five walls together into one cohesive system.

Beyond just the walls, we paired the new block with decorative rock installations in the planting beds surrounding the pool area. River rock groundcover sits between the walls and the pool deck, giving the space a finished, low-maintenance look that holds up better than mulch in a high-traffic area like this. The layered terracing up the slope keeps the soil in place and creates defined planting zones that the family can actually use.

A job like this takes real planning. You're not just stacking block - you're managing grade changes, making sure each wall ties into the next, and keeping the overall flow of the yard looking natural rather than choppy. We're proud of how it came together for the Osborne family. Big thank you to them for trusting us with a project this involved.
